The Snehalaya Physiotherapy Department is dedicated to providing comprehensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to Differently abled children, with a primary focus on children with Cerebral Palsy and other neurological and developmental conditions. In all 80 children are catered daily through the physiotherapy services.
The Department has 2 spacious, well-lit and ventilated therapeutic rooms which are equipped with the latest upgradation to therapeutic tools and equipment’s. The State of art – Reflexology walkway is also an integral part of the department where they are trained for Gait and sensory re-education.
The department’s collaboration with two physiotherapy colleges – Dhole Patil College of Physiotherapies and St. Andrews college of Physiotherapy support the department through clinical postings and internship programs. This involvement enables the department to provide more individual attention, supervised therapeutic activities and regular exercise programs to the children.
The goal of the department is to maximize every child’s potential and empower them towards greater mobility, confidence and functional independence.
In the year 2025 Snehalaya has started an OPD for physiotherapy services especially for the poor of the surrounding communities and villages who cannot afford the exorbitant cost for therapy in the hospitals around. We have our premises available for this purpose and Dr. Mathew Yesudhas, PT; our full-time physiotherapist piolets this project. We also have a tie up with Dhole Patil College of Physiotherapy, Kharadi and St. Andrews College of Physiotherapy, Manjari; who also are extending their services to this project by sending their respective Interns under their University Internship Program and their Final year students for their medical postings with an effort to render extra hands.
